 Abby Starstrom, MSN, RN, FNP-C (Nurse Practitioner – Certified)
Gina Taylor, Nurse Practicioner

Abby is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner, credentialed by the American Nursing Credentialing Center.

Abby earned a Master's in Science of Nursing in 2005 from UNC-Charlotte with a dual degree as a clinical nurse specialist as well as an adult health nurse practitioner, graduating summa cum laude. In addition, she has a Bachelor's in Science from the University of Florida, also with highest honors.

Prior to joining Cobb Internal Medicine, Abby worked in Orlando, working for an electrophysiologist treating patients with a variety of rhythm disorders.  She has resided in Jacksonville, FL and worked at a large cardiology practice, monitoring nuclear stress tests and providing care for inpatients with a wide range of cardiovascular disorders. Prior to being a NP, Abby worked as a registered nurse at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and was a charge nurse on a post cardiac catheterization unit in Charlotte, NC.  She prides herself in treating each and every patient holistically and providing education to patients so they can take part and feel empowered when it comes to taking care of themselves and seeking wellness.

Abby was born in Ohio near Lake Erie but has spent most of her life in the south! She enjoys spending time with her husband of twenty years, their three children, and two dogs.  She loves animals, enjoys traveling, hiking, watching college football and photography.

Sarah Svedin is a Nationally Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) who joined Cobb Internal Medicine Associates in 2020.

Sarah earned her Master of Medical Science (MMSc) in 2018 from Nova Southeastern University in Jacksonville, FL where she graduated with highest honors, and has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from Oregon Institute of Technology.

Before joining Cobb Internal Medicine Associates, she worked in Interventional Pain Management in Chicago providing joint injections and managing acute and chronic pain syndromes, and most recently at an anti-aging/wellness clinic here in Atlanta. She is passionate about overall health and wellness, preventative medicine, and patient-centered care. As a primary care provider, Sarah always strives to treat her patients with compassion and empathy with a firm belief that the best patient outcomes stem from forming an open and trusting relationship between the provider and patient.

Aside from practice, Sarah enjoys spending time with her fiancé and dog, hiking, traveling, skiing, and exploring Atlanta’s restaurant scene! She is a former collegiate athlete having played volleyball at Oregon Tech and loves being able to play sand volleyball all year long in Atlanta.

Fun fact: Sarah was born and raised in Alaska where she learned to hunt, fish, ski, snowmachine, and survive in the wilderness. When not exploring the outdoors, Sarah spent her time playing sports, working with her dad building custom homes, and enjoying big family gatherings.
Jennifer Filer MSN, RN, FNP-C (Nurse Practitioner – Certified)
Jennifer Filer MSN, RN, FNP-C (Nurse Practitioner – Certified) Jennifer is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner credentialed by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Jennifer originally attended the University of Georgia where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Economics and Management and a Master of Science in Urban Policy Planning at Georgia State University.  After a decade of working in the environmental field, she then pursued her interest in patient health care earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kennesaw State University and Master of Science in Nursing from Georgia State University.  She began her nursing career as a registered nurse at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center in the ICU.  She then transitioned to working in cardiology with Piedmont Heart Institute and finally on the pulmonary unit at WellStar Kennestone Hospital.

As a provider, she believes that having a partnership with patients based on trust is the key to providing the best possible outcomes for patients. Her goals are health promotion, disease prevention and managing chronic conditions.

Jennifer is originally from LaGrange, GA and currently resides with her husband and daughter in Marietta, GA.  In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, reading, traveling, and spending time on Marietta Square.  She loves college football and rooting for her alma mater UGA in the fall.

Dr. Mohsin Hisamud-Din is in private practice with Cobb Internal Medicine Associates in Marietta with admitting privileges at Kennestone and Cobb Hospitals.

Dr. Din has been practicing primary care Internal Medicine for more than ten years. He completed his Chief Residency and Internal Medicine Residency from SUNY Stony Brook affiliated Hospitals in Long Island, New York graduating with an ABIM score in the 90th percentile. Subsequently he started practice with a hospital based group in Louisville, near Augusta, Georgia. He relocated to Cobb county a few years back to be closer to family.

In his view, the best patient outcomes are borne out of a trustworthy and mutually respectful relationship between a patient and his primary care physician.

Dr. Seema has been practicing primary care Internal Medicine for more than ten years. After completing her Internal Medicine Residency from SUNY Stony Brook affiliated Hospitals in Long Island, New York, she joined a hospital based group practice in Louisville near Augusta, Georgia. She relocated to Cobb county a few years ago to be closer to family in Atlanta.

She attempts to provide compassionate and empathic care to her patients. She believes that in the current highly complex and often fractured medical environment, a primary care physician is an invaluable resource for an optimal patient outcome.
